John Barratt provides individual mathematics tuition tailored to each student's needs. With over 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience, John helps students understand mathematical concepts, overcome difficulties and prepare for examinations.
Tuition is available in person or online.
My tutor sessions are friendly and relaxed and student led. I will work on any topics which the student has found challenging, focusing on “concepts” rather than just “methods”. If a student understands underlying concepts then the work is much more memorable and I feel that concepts are often overlooked in schools.
If the student has no particular areas of concern then we can revise the work which the student has covered to date, enabling us to highlight and concentrate on any areas of weakness.
If exams are looming I will work through past examination papers as a means of revision, highlighting any areas of concern and improving examination technique.
Tuition can take place:
At John's home in Warmington.
At the student's home, within approximately five miles of Warmington (PE8 6TJ).

Fee: £40 an hour
